CAAE Association
|
| With more than 13,000
members and beyond 20 years of experience, the CAAE Association
organises campaigns and projects and offers services to face the
challenges within the agri-food sector, the environmental protection and
the current economic situation. | |
CAAE is a non-profit organisation
that promotes and defends organic production; a modern system that
offers the values and responses demanded by today's society.
|
CAAE Social Standards
The CAAE Association launched its Social Standards in 2012.
Those standards are providing organic certified companies the possibility to count with
a quality label accrediting the fulfillment of social, economical and
environmental requirements.
With the development of those
standards, the CAAE Association intends to help certified companies of the
organic production sector to reach excellence, have a good knowledge of
their social and environmental milieu, respect them, act in an ethical
and transparent way and play a role of driving force for sustainable
development. The standards are completing that way the “organic” value with
additional values and principles in the social, economical and environmental
fields.
| | | |
The standards developed by the CAAE
Association are organized in five requirement groups: social, environmental,
economical management and performance, quality and, finally, social
responsibility. The companies asking for this certification and meeting the
requirements will receive a quality label accrediting that they are complying
with those standards.
| Why we support IFOAM EU Group
|
| |
| José Luis García Melgarejo Director General
of the CAAE Association:
'Synergies arise when information and
coordination are jointly used. This is the best tool used by the IFOAM EU Group
to overcome the difficulties of the organic sector. When the opinion of
stakeholders is taken into account, the richness of solutions assures the best
results. This is the way the IFOAM EU Group works. |
Critical issues, like new
CAP discussions, fraud cases, ecolabel threat, DDAC and BAC residues are the
most recent challenges where the work of IFOAM EU demonstrates how useful its
role for the organic sector is.' | Explore more of CAAE's services and values at: www.caae.es
