Ecolabelling for food |

Based on the article 6 point 5 of Regulation (EC) No 66/2010 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 November 2009 on the EU Ecolabel, European Commission has conducted a feasability study (see link below) and works towards decision for which group of food and feed, if
any, the development of EU Ecolabel criteria is feasible. European Commission (DG Environment) shall decide, taking into account the outcome of the
study and the opinion of the EUEB, in accordance
with the regulatory procedure with scrutiny (with involvement of the Regulatory Committee consisting of representatives of Ministries from all Member States).

EUEB documents:
On 8 March 2012 the European Union Ecolabelling Board (EUEB) decided not to support the development of EU Ecolabel criteria on food, drink and feed in the immediate future. The official position of the EUEB will be made publically available beginning of April 2012.
