Project aims
The
general objective of the project is to promote the innovation potential of
agro-ecological farm systems and facilitate the adoption of agro-ecological
practices in farming through integrated, comprehensive and sustainable
approaches of knowledge transfer and partnerships and to contribute to the
development of appropriate instruments within the EU Common Agricultural Policy
and EU research policies.
Some of the main activities
1.- Survey to partners’ network to
evaluate gaps,obstacles and
opportunities for knowledge transfer and research take-up and produce analysis
report
2.- Collect examples for
agro-ecological innovation and knowledge transfer and establish a database
3.- Develop a tool box, containing a
set of best practice examples for agro-ecological innovation and knowledge
transfer, and other set of tools for campaigners in the topic.
4.- Produce a promotion brochure
(online and hard copy) with 10 examples of successful agro-ecological
innovation and knowledge transfer to highlight its contribution to current and
future EU policies
5.- Organize a two days workshop on agro-ecological
innovation. Dates:11, 12 July.
6.- Work out policy recommendations
based on workshop results/report and launch online consultation within partners
network and other interested stakeholders
7.- Present report at final
dissemination event in Brussels to promote policy recommendations in
combination with best practice examples to policy makers and media
