The core of specialized professionals who work with IFOAM is comprised of 5 main associations, a Trade Forum, an Aquaculture Group, a Forum of Consultants, an Organic Retailers Association and an Intercontinental Network of Organic Farmers Organisations. Each group contributes to enhancing the professionalism of the worldwide organic agriculture movement.
The Forum of Consultants is association of first-rate organic practitioners. The Forum makes for an efficient network of organic agriculture consultants who have access to relevant mechanisms for professional development.
The aquaculture Group and Retailers' Association work to foster the growth of their respective sectors by, among other activities, promoting good practices, perfecting standards, and providing advice and direction.
The Intercontinental Network of Organic Farmers Organisations (INOFO) aims at being a network of exchange between Organic Farmers Organisations.
On a more diverse front, the Trade Forum provides an arena that enables active international organic trade.
