The IFOAM Basic Standards and the IFOAM Accreditation
Criteria, together called the IFOAM Norms, along with their Interpretations and their changes resulting
from Urgent Revisions and Technical Corrections establish the requirements for certification bodies
seeking IFOAM accreditation. The documents are available from the IFOAM Bookstore.

Interpretations
Interpretations regarding the following provisions are effective:
- IBS 5.5.1,
- IBS 7.1.3,
- IBS-Chapter 6,
- IAC 6.7.11 (only 2002 IAC Remark: This interpretation was taken as the basis for the new wording in the 2005 IAC (new numbering: IAC 6.7.9 d).
- IAC 8.2.5 (only 2005 IAC)

Urgent Revisions and Technical Corrections of the IFOAM Norms, Version 2002
One change resulting from an Urgent Revision has to
be taken into account when applying the 2002 IFOAM Accreditation Criteria.
Remark: This urgent revision was incorporated in the 2005 IFOAM Accreditation Criteria.

One Technical Correction regarding IAC 6.4.1b as per the 2002 IFOAM Accreditation Criteria is effective. Remark: This correction was taken as the basis for the new wording in the 2005 IAC.
