In November 2009, the municipality of Bella Vista in the province of Corrientes (Argentina) approved the Municipal Ordinance No.919-09. The ordinance benefits a group of family farmers from different colonies of the Bella Vista department working with an agro-ecological approach for over 10 years. An Agro-ecological product in the ordinance are defined within the scope of the Organic Agriculture Law of Argentina (Law 25.517) but includes additional attributes such as social inclusion, community and family production especially of seeds, associative experiences, local markets and food sovereignty. To accomplish their objectives, they have created the PGS Council for agro-ecological products composed of, among others, representatives of organic farmers, the municipality, NGOs, Ministry of Rural Development and Family Agriculture and the Northeast National University. The municipality of Bella Vista has a role of the promotion and marketing of agro-ecological products in their province. “Agro Eco Red” is the name of the label for the agro-ecological quality control system implemented and developed by the PGS Council of Bella Vista.

En noviembre del 2009, la Municipalidad de Bella Vista de la provincia de Corrientes (Argentina), aprobo la Ordenanza Municipal No.919-09. La ordenanza beneficia a un grupo de agricultores familiares de diversas colonias del departamento de Bella Vista trabajando con el enfoque agroecológico por más de 10 años. Los productos agroecológicos en la ordenanza están definidos como lo estipula la Ley de Agricultura Orgánica de Argentina (Ley 25.517) pero considera además otras características como inclusión social, producción comunitaria y familiar especialmente de semillas, experiencias asociativas, mercados locales y soberanía alimentaria. Con este fin han constituido el Consejo de productos agroecológicos integrado por representantes de los agricultores, la municipalidad, ONGs, el Ministerio de Desarrollo Rural y Agricultura Familiar, la Universidad Nacional del Noreste, entre otros. La municipalidad de Bella Vista tiene la función de promoción y comercialización de los productos agroecológicos en su jurisdicción. Agro Eco Red es el nombre del sello para la calidad agroecológica del sistema de control implementado y diseñado por el Consejo SPG de Bella Vista.
