The IFOAM Action group is home to IFOAM Regional Bodies, IFOAM Sector Platforms and IFOAM Daughter Organizations.
Diversification into these structures is part of the IFOAM regionalization and specialization process. IFOAM recognized the need, value and potential of implementing a more proactive approach on a regional level as well as from a sector specific perspective. Regional Bodies and Sector Platforms, which fall under the term Self-Organized Structures (SoS), were established in response to this. IFOAM Daughter Organizations were set up to focus on a particular activity and perform explicit tasks such as accreditation and funding support.
To date there are four Regional, two National Bodies, five Sector Platforms and two Daughter Organizations operating as Self-Organized Structures. These are

The OWF is actively supporting us in securing funding for core activities as well as increasing awareness of the benefits of organic production the world over.
The IOAS focuses solely on the continued growth of the organic market by providing a transparent and respected system of assessment against nationally and internationally- agreed standards.
