The 18th edition of the IFOAM Organic World Congress (OWC) is taking place from 13 -15 October 2014 in Istanbul.

Approximately 2,000 people from all continents are expected there to debate issues, inspire each other, learn together and make strategic decisions.

This congress is structured in 3 conference tracks: Main Track, Scientific Track, and Practitioners' Track. In addition, a series of workshops i.e. full sessions organized by interested parties, are highlighting the contributions made by various initiatives from around the organic world.

The Main Track, made up of two parallel sessions titled Organic Vision Building and Growing the Organic World, sees panelists discuss the future direction of the global organic world. 

The Scientific Track is designed for researchers to present their latest findings on systems, plant production, animal husbandry, socio-economics, processing, trade, and human nutrition research. 

The Practitioners Track provides a forum for the exchange of hands-on knowledge and experiences in the practical and strategic as well as socio-cultural aspects of organic food and agriculture. 

The series of workshops is open to institutes and initiatives interested in sharing their expertise with congress attendees.
