Target groups and admission requirements: Practicing farmers, NGO extension staff, local government, rural development staff, University and other institutions graduates.

Training objectives: To gain basic knowledge on:
  • principles and practices of Organic Agriculture
  • soil and water conservation
  • soil fertility building
  • vegetable growing
  • farm planning
  • integration of animal and crop husbandry on a farm-integrated organic farming
  • food security, farm productivity, nutritional and health status of the farm families, environmental conservation and appropriate technology and the best practices in sustainable organic agriculture
  • gender and family life
  • farmer to farmer extension
