Training course: Sustainable Organic Agriculture Training Program

Target groups and admission requirements: Practicing farmers, NGO extension staff, local government, rural development staff, University and other institutions graduates.
Training objectives: To gain basic knowledge on:
- principles and practices of Organic Agriculture
- soil and water conservation
- soil fertility building
- vegetable growing
- farm planning
- integration of animal and crop husbandry on a farm-integrated organic farming
- food security, farm productivity, nutritional and health status of the farm families, environmental conservation and appropriate technology and the best practices in sustainable organic agriculture
- gender and family life
- farmer to farmer extension
