July 2 to 4 2013, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
It is now six years since the launch of the East African Organic Products Standard at a conference in Dar es Salaam. The OSEA project, together with partners, now organize another conference to:
- report on progresses made in mainstreaming organic agriculture into relevant national and regional policies and the Comprehensive African Agriculture Development Program as well as the EOA initiative;
- present successful organic agriculture related projects and case studies;
- introduce new sides of organic production, such as aquaculture and Participatory Guarantee Systems;
- report on the implementation of the East African Organic Products Standard and the East African Organic Mark and the growth of the organic market; and
- share experiences from successful initiatives in research and sector development.
There will be also a regional organic trade show at the event.
