Dates: Program is 1 year long, plus an internship.  Program begins annually at the beginning of January and goes through mid-December.
Duration: 1 year, plus 3-4 month internship
Cost: US - roughly $12,000 (depending on needed credits) - cheaper option is available if taken not for credit
Funding: Financial aid, other scholarships are available

Target groups and admission requirements: New farmers, people who want to do urban agriculture, people with experience as farm laborers but who want to own / run their own farm.

Training objectives:
  • To train new farmers
  • To learn to "think like a farmer"
  • To built the skills necessary to operate a year round cold-climate CSA and market farm
  • Learn the basics of small scale organic production
  • To learn to operate year round passive solar greenhouses
Training program: Hands on operation of our 10 - acre farm, classroom work, working in teams, operation of passive solar greenhouses, management of CSA program and farm stand, 25 farm visits, marketing and organic certification
