Training course: MSc in Agroecology and/or fall semester of courses in Agroecology and farming and food systems Place: Ås, Norway Training language: English Dates: Mid August through Mid December annually Duration: Approximately 16 weeks Cost: Tuition is free but living expenses are approximately 40,000 Norwegian kroner/€5,000/$6,500 Funding: Some funding available for students in developing countries and professionals working in Norwegian-affiliated projects. Funding information available at www.umb.no/1131 Target groups and admission requirements: Students interested in obtaining a Master's degree in Agroecology or a related field. The degree can be taken at UMB or through another university with a semester exchange to UMB Training objectives: To teach skills of holistic thinking, facilitation and life-long learning using systems theory and Norwegian case studies of organic farms in order to give students a broad understanding of the agroecosystem in a social, economic, historical and scientific context Training program: Emphasis on experiential learning; case studies using Norwegian farms, theory in classroom, group work and site visits Contact details: UMB Agroecology P.O.
