Training course:The Colloquium in Sustainable Agriculture , Student Organic Farm Planning Course, Ecology of Agricultural Systems Place: St. Paul, MN Training language: English One of MISA’s goals is to
facilitate the internalization of sustainable agriculture into the University
so that the concepts permeate teaching, research and extension. To that
end, MISA supports programs that provide students with the opportunity to
interact with faculty involved in sustainable agriculture research; with
practitioners who are applying sustainable principles on their farms; with
organizations and agencies that work on myriad aspects of sustainability in
agriculture. The Colloquium in Sustainable Agriculture provides a forum for students, faculty, and members of the agriculture community to discuss issues of importance. The Student Organic Farm Planning Course gives students the opportunity to use a sustainable farm-oriented business planning tool, thus gaining organic business experience to augment their hands-on field experience. Ecology of Agricultural Systems is a unique course that incorporates service learning along with classroom instruction. Contact details: Contact Person: Ms. Courtney
