Women in Organic Agriculture in Africa
In many African countries, we can observe women farmers, business women, women leaders, and more women in leadership positions who are promoting Organic Agriculture (OA) than in conventional agriculture. This brings two questions to mind: What are women’s reasons to be involved in OA in Africa? What are the impacts for women associated with entry into OA? Listed below are women case studies that help answer these questions and document the positive impacts associated with the uptake of OA across Africa.
