![]() Sinfonia di vetro… … is a professional glass music ensemble, founded in 1996 by the musician and instrument maker Sascha Reckert, with the goal of bringing various glass instruments to the fore in news ways. Sascha Reckert is the only glass instrument maker of his kind in the world; the ensemble complements his work by taking up his various instruments in different combinations. The repertoire of the ensemble ranges from Renaissance to the present, with a particular emphasis on original pieces written for glass instruments in the 18th and 19th centuries and debut performances from that time period. In addition to playing for leading international opera houses, the ensemble has worked with dancers, performers (including the percussion group STOMP) and composers. office@sinfonia-di-vetro.de www.sinfonia-di-vetro.de ![]() Dao Droste... … is a cosmopolitan born in Vietnam and living in Germany. By giving courses in her painting studio and participating in the “Festival of the Senses” at the open-air museum and community center in Lindlar (North Rhine-Westphalia), as well as through her “House of Nature and Culture” in the Bergishes Land (North Rhine-Westphalia) and a periodical called “Regenbogenwerk” (Rainbow work), she brings the public into contact with diversity, sustainability and mindfulness. She strives to activate new sources of energy and make them accessible for everyday use at work and play. Her goal is to visualize light and life’s energy in her paintings and to infect others with her passion for natural/primal creativity. To this end she attended a conference for Alternative Nobel Prize Laureates in Munich in 2005 to sketch the fascinating themes emerging from the conference and the initiatives that were being presented. The results of her work will be on display at the 2010 conference “Kurswechseln” (Changing Course). www.die-malwerkstatt.de |
