![]() Bangkok, 7 – 12 May 2013 The aim of the International Forum on Innovating Alternative Markets, taking place in Bangkok, Thailand, from 7 to 12 May 2013, is to create markets for small-scale organic (or in transition to organic) farmers, by connecting them directly with mindful consumers, and their organizations. A special role is perceived for social enterprises that help facilitate building partnerships based on Participatory Guarantee Systems (PGS) and Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). The International Forum will be hosted at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, and for the last two days at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, where the 6th Green Fair will be held in conjunction with the Organic and Natural EXPO of the Ministry of Commerce, Thailand. Keynote speakers will be André Leu, Australia, IFOAM President, and Pablo Solón, Executive Director of Focus on the Global South (former Ambassador to the UN for Bolivia). The event will also host the 2013 IFOAM PGS Committee Meeting and a gathering of the newly formed URGENCI Asia group. You can get more information on the conference and the detailed schedule on the School for Well Being site.
